Riversyde has been my repair shop since the mid 1980s. I still rely on their high level of service and their willingness to cater to customers needs whenever possible. Their mechanics are top notch and their prices are more than fair. Yes, even for single women, who are quite often targeted by less scrupulous repair shops! Keep up the good work, Riversyde. Kamloops needs more like you.

For 6 yrs now we’ve been taking our 2 vehicles to Oakridge. Always a good experience! They offer a loaner vehicle when it’ll be all day, and they are always pleasant. I always recommend this mechanic for price, service and basic understanding.

To the last review. We are sorry to here of your troubles. We strive to give great service, each and every time a customer comes in. That's why we have stayed in business on the westside for over 30yrs. In this case we attempted to make a repair on a part , that would take several days to come in and cost hundreds of dollars, all for a clip the size of a quarter. Unfortunately the repair did not last. But we did stand behind our work and got the vehicle repaired immediately.

It has been a long time since I've had an oil change experience worth writing home about. I was beginning to think that I would have to change my own oil just to avoid being haggled and insulted as I had been at the last few places I tried. Not once was I lectured about coming in more often or told I don't take care of my car as usual (I'm not negligent - most lube shops use it to instill fear and have you pay more money.)
Paul seems like a manager-type person who was the man I spoke with the whole time I was there. If there was such thing as a 'carside' manner, he got it right on the money. He was extremely polite and even asked permission to put air in my tires like I was some kind of heiress. I am used to other places either not asking to add air or forgetting to even check them. A lot of places only do it 'by request' - but when they don't communicate with you, how are you supposed to request it? So this place was quite amazing. They showed me my transmission fluid colour to assure me it's in perfect condition. Basically, I would go back there strictly for the customer service, but their prices are reasonable too. I would say they are like any other place but you actually get what you pay for.
The owner's name is 'Al' but I never met him. Maybe he will be in on a weekday. I have a $10 off coupon for next time if I take the middle package so that's another incentive to return. I am glad I don't have to figure out how to change my own oil because it isn't easy when you lack the tools needed.
They have a coupon right now on he back of Safeway receipts for $8 off. I wish I had known, but it was still worth it.

Rich was a huge help in dealing with my daughters VW after the alternator gave out on her drive from Vancouver. Always worried about mechanics you dont know and who potentially have you at a disadvantage, but Rich was understanding and most helpful and fixed the problem for a very reasonable price.... I would highly recommend him to local residents and Okanagan visitors alike.

I was so grateful to have found this garage. I went there thinking I needed work on one thing...only to find out it was something different. They walked me through the problem with a flashlight and explained exactly what was damaged and promptly got me the price and did the work the same day as it was a dangerous thing to keep driving while broken.
